Devayani is a French-Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She began her training in Paris, later studying Bharatanatyam with masters like Kancheepuram Ellapa Mudaliar, V.S. Muthuswamy Pillai, Kalanidhi Narayanan, and Kuchipudi with Vempati Chinna Satyam in Madras. She performed her Arangetram at Rasika Ranjani Sabha. She has performed extensively in India and internationally, including at the International Edinburgh Festival, and was the First Asian Dancer Artist in Residence for the Arts Council of Great Britain. She further refined her art with Justin Mac Carthy and Dr. Yamini Krishnamurti.
