Sri Rajarajeshwari Kalaniketan presents SAMANVAY ARTS FESTIVAL with an award ceremony and a double bill of two full productions. SATYABHAMA at 6.15 pm, is a continuous production of some seventy-five minutes on a single premise: one heroine read successively in four classical vocabularies. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy opens in Bharatanatyam, Vidha Lal follows in Kathak of the Jaipur gharana, Gopika Varma in Mohiniyattam, and Dr Veena Murthy Vijay closes in Kuchipudi - the form through which, in Bama Kalapam, Satyabhama has traditionally been claimed. Mysore B. Nagaraj is Sutradhar and narrates in English. Four forms, four dancers and a Sutradhar.
