TechniqueOdissi

Meaning

Tribhangi is a posture in which the body bends in three places — at the neck, the torso and the knee — producing the S-curve that gives Odissi its sculptural quality. It is often set against chauka, the square, wide, symmetrical stance also basic to the form.
