🪔 About

Aalapi Jog is a dedicated Indian classical Kathak dancer, choreographer, and teacher, who has received extensive training under the tutelage of the renowned Guru Pandita Maneesha Sathe for over 15 years. Her academic pursuits in dance include completing her Alankar Poorna in Kathak from BVDU, School of Performing Arts, Pune, where she is currently pursuing her Master's in Kathak. Additionally, she is working towards an Advanced Diploma Level 2 in Kathak from Bharati Vidyapeeth. Beyond her dance education, Jog is also pursuing a Master's in German Language from Pune University and has experience teaching German at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. Jog's talent has garnered national recognition, including the prestigious CCRT Scholarship awarded by the Government of India. In 2020, she distinguished herself by being selected among the Top 5 dancers nationwide in the SIFF YOUNG ARTISTE National Level Competition, a remarkable achievement among 15,000 artists. As a performer, Aalapi Jog has showcased her artistry on both national and international stages. Her international engagements include performances in Germany in 2019 and in multiple German cities in 2022, as part of Team Tanz by Guru Tejaswini Sathe. Domestically, she is an active member of Maneesha Nrityalaya's Performing Troupe, participating in various dance festivals and competitions across India. A unique aspect of her performing career is her involvement in "Nritya Dhaara," a three-generation Kathak performance featuring her grandmother Guru Maneesha Sathe, her aunt Shambhavi Dandekar, and her mother Tejaswini Sathe. This intergenerational collaboration was a highlight of "Divine Confluence 2025," an event celebrating Maneesha Nrityalaya's golden jubilee. Aalapi Jog contributes to the propagation of Kathak as a teacher at Maneesha Nrityalaya in Pune, where she shares her knowledge and passion for the dance form. Her work as a choreographer further demonstrates her commitment to the evolving tradition of Kathak. Awards & Honours: CCRT Scholarship, SIFF YOUNG ARTISTE National Level Competition (Top 5 dancers) (2020).
