Aasha Yeluri is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Kuchipudi and Carnatic music. She received rigorous training and artistic guidance from her mother and guru, Divya Yeluri, who is the founder of the Nritya Madhavi School of Kuchipudi dance in Edison, New Jersey, USA. Aasha has developed into a refined artist, known for her command over nritta (pure dance), expressive abhinaya (facial expressions), and her ability to transform mythological narratives into deeply moving spiritual experiences. Throughout her career, Aasha has captivated audiences with her artistry, performing extensively across various platforms. Her notable performances include a "Nrityarchana" presented in June 2026 at the Bridgewater Temple in New Jersey. This recital was lauded as a celebration of artistry, discipline, and spirituality, showcasing her polish, confidence, and artistic maturity. During this event, she was conferred the honorific title "Divya Natya Deepam" - The Divine Lamp of Dance, in recognition of her dedication and devotion to Kuchipudi. Aasha Yeluri is also a choreographer, having created pieces such as her opening solo "Sri Vighna Rajam Bhaje," which displayed her creativity and understanding of the dance form through imaginative sancharis. Her repertoire includes significant Kuchipudi items like "Bhama Pravesam" and "Rukmini Pravesam." She performed "Rukmini Pravesam" at the young age of nine, demonstrating her early talent in a choreography by the legendary Kuchipudi maestro Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. Aasha frequently performs alongside her brother, Akshay Yeluri, and has been associated with the Nritya Madhavi School of Dance, which aims to promote Indian classical art forms in the USA.
