Abha Auti is a distinguished Indian classical Kathak dancer, artist, and mentor who has dedicated over two decades to the art form. She received her foundational training under the guidance of Guru Smt. Roshan Datye and was also blessed by the late Dr. Rohini Bhate. Auti is an alumna of the Nrityabharti Kathak Dance Academy and holds a Master's degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, where she was awarded a gold medal. Her performances are noted for their nuanced emotions, subtlety in the 'Nritya' aspect, strong sense of rhythm, and graceful movements. She is recognized for her creative compositions and her ability to explore contemporary issues through the medium of Kathak. Abha Auti is an A-Grade Doordarshan artist and an ICCR empanelled artist, signifying her prominence in the field. She has performed extensively at various prestigious dance festivals across India, including the Swarna Nritya Pratibha Festival, Kathak Mahotsava Lucknow Kathak Kendra, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Festival of Dance and Music. Internationally, she has showcased Kathak in countries such as the United States, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. Auti is also the founder and artistic director of the Laheja School of Performing Arts in Pune, where she is committed to preserving and propagating the rich tradition of Kathak.
