Her artistic journey began at a remarkably early age, around three years old, when she first started learning dance. Her formal immersion into the intricate and expressive world of Odissi commenced when she was approximately eight or nine years old. Abhipsa received her foundational training and initial guidance from Guru Smt. Amrita Pattasani, who played a crucial role in shaping her early understanding and technique in Odissi. Later, she continued to refine her artistry and expand her repertoire under the tutelage of the esteemed Guru Dr. Pitambar Biswal, further deepening her connection to the classical tradition. Abhipsa Bhanja is associated with Suravi Nrutyalaya, an institution dedicated to classical dance. She regards Odissi not merely as a pursuit but as her life's profession and a profound passion, dedicating herself entirely to its practice and performance. Her dedication is vividly demonstrated through her captivating performances, which include expressive Odissi abhinaya pieces like "Lalita Labanga Lata". Her talent and commitment have garnered attention, leading to features on prominent platforms such as the YouTube channels Soulful Odisha and NandighoshaTV, where her performances and insightful interviews as an Odissi dancer have been showcased.
