🪔 About

Adithya PV is a dynamic Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, widely recognized for his refined artistry and thoughtful integration of contemporary sensibilities into the traditional dance form. His artistic journey began with formal Bharatanatyam education under Guru Smt. Latha Edavalath. He further honed his skills with the internationally acclaimed dance duo, The Kirans (Sandhya and Kiran), and is currently guided by veteran dancer Dr. Sudharani Raghupathy. Adithya holds a diploma in Bharatanatyam from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (IKSV), Chhattisgarh, and is a graded artist of Doordarshan. Known for his strong command over tālam, nuanced expressive work (abhinaya), and disciplined technique, Adithya PV has developed a performance style that effectively balances traditional structure with sensitivity. He has presented solo and collaborative performances at various festivals both in India and internationally. Adithya is one of the visionaries behind Bengaluru's popular Punyah Dance Company and serves as the artistic director of the Upadhye School of Dance. He moved to Bengaluru from Kerala for his undergraduate studies and later committed to dance full-time, finding the city welcoming to his art. His work includes exploring new movements and vocabularies while retaining the essence of the Bharatanatyam tradition.
