Aditi Govind is a renowned Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, based in Chennai. As of October 2008, she had been performing for over 35 years, having had her arangetram (first public performance) before the age of 10. Her dedication to dance is described as a devotion, aiming for excellence in each performance not for ego or money, but to honor the art form and her teachers. Govind has performed in more than two dozen countries, with performances in Toronto, Montreal, Baltimore, and at the New York University's Skirball Center in November 2008. She also conducts master classes for advanced dance students globally. Among her classical dance teachers, Kalanidhi Narayanan is mentioned. Aditi Govind is the only classical dancer in her family, and she holds a college degree in commerce and a diploma in mass communication.
