Adrija Kashyap is a distinguished Indian classical Odissi dancer, teacher, choreographer, and the visionary founder of Adyasha Foundation. Her profound journey in Odissi began with an extensive 20-year training period under Guru Niranjan Rout, where she immersed herself in the intricate nuances of the Guru Debaprasad Das Style. Following this foundational learning, she further honed her artistry for 14 years under the esteemed guidance of Guru BichitraNanda Swain, mastering the revered Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Style. This comprehensive training across two prominent Odissi lineages has endowed her with a rich and versatile understanding of the classical dance form. Kashyap's artistic excellence has been widely recognized. She holds the prestigious "A" grade artiste status from Doordarshan, India's public service broadcaster, and is an empanelled artiste with both the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Spicmacay. These affiliations underscore her significant standing and active contribution to the promotion of Indian classical arts both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, her talent was acknowledged early in her career through the receipt of the National Junior Scholarship, a testament to her dedication and promise in the field of dance. Throughout her illustrious career, Adrija Kashyap has graced numerous national and international stages, captivating audiences with her performances. She is highly regarded not only for her captivating stage presence but also for her unwavering passion, professional demeanor, and inspiring teaching methodology. As an educator, she has mentored and guided a multitude of students, many of whom have achieved national scholarships and are now successfully pursuing independent careers as solo dancers, a testament to her effective pedagogy. As the Founder and Creative Director of Adyasha Foundation, an Odissi institution strategically based in Bengaluru, Kashyap is deeply committed to the authentic transmission of pure Odissi dance training. Beyond instruction, the foundation actively contributes to the vibrant classical dance ecosystem by organizing and hosting classical dance festivals twice annually. These festivals serve as crucial platforms for showcasing the talents of both established, eminent dancers and promising young artistes across various Indian classical forms.
