Aishwarya Harish is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, choreographer, and researcher, representing the fifth generation of performing artists in her family. Her journey in Indian classical dance began at the tender age of four, under the tutelage of her mother, Guru Dr. Smt. Jayashree Rajagopalan. She completed her Nritya Praveshika, Nritya Visharad, and Nritya Shali (a course specializing in the 108 Karanas of the Natya Sastra) at Nrithyodaya, Mumbai, an institution co-run by her and her mother. Aishwarya has also received training in Nattuvangam, the rhythmic accompaniment for Bharatanatyam performances. Academically, Aishwarya holds a Master's degree in Ancient Indian Culture, History and Archaeology from Mumbai University and a post-graduate diploma in Social Communications Media from The Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. As a performer, she is a Grade 'B' artiste with Doordarshan Kendra, Mumbai, and has graced numerous prestigious stages and dance festivals, including the annual Natyanjali Festivals, Kanha Festival, Mahagami Festival, and Kala Ghoda Festival. She has made notable contributions to Nrithyodaya's productions such as 'Bhakta Sakha Vitthala', 'Abhijnana Shakuntalam', and 'Ponnolir Bharatam'. Aishwarya is also a member of The Association of Bharatanatyam Artists of India (ABHAI) and was a semi-finalist on the Bharatanatyam dance reality show 'Natyaratna' conducted by Shankara TV. Beyond performing, she contributes off-stage as a compere and makeup artist. She co-leads Nrithyodaya with her mother, focusing on propagating the Bharata Nrityam style, which her mother's guru, Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, researched and revived. Aishwarya heads the Tilak Nagar branch of Nrithyodaya and also imparts Bharata Nrityam education as part of the regular school curriculum at The Green Acres Academy, Chembur.
