Born in Udumalaipetai, Coimbatore, she completed her schooling at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Chennai. She later pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology (B.Sc) from New Prince Shri Bhavani Arts and Science College in Chennai. Currently, Akshaya Renuka serves as a faculty member at the Bengaluru Branch of Nritta Dhyana Academy, a revered dance institute.
