Ala Venugopal is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Kuchipudi. She received her training under the tutelage of Smt. Padmavani Mosalikanti and Shri. Jai Kishore Mosalikanti, whom she frequently acknowledges for their guidance and support. Venugopal made her solo debut, or Rangapravesham, on May 6, 2018, at the Vylopilli Samskruti Bhavan in Trivandrum, Kerala, performing the "Bhama pravesha daruvu." Her repertoire includes significant Kuchipudi compositions such as "Ananda Tandavam," a piece by Padma Bhushan Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, which she performed as part of Sridevi Nrityalaya's 'Nrityanjali' series. She has also presented "DURGA TARANGAM" and "Natesha Kautwam," another work choreographed by Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. Beyond solo performances, she has collaborated with other artists, as seen in her performance of "Pari Pari Excerpts" with Sri Sammohana Mosalikanti. Ala Venugopal has also extended her engagement with the art form to teaching, announcing online classes in March 2023, thereby sharing her knowledge and passion for Kuchipudi with aspiring dancers. She has performed in various events, including for Paallam Arts' 'Wings of Hope' series and at venues in Chennai.
