Amrita Mukherjee is a highly experienced Indian classical dancer and teacher with over 20 years of experience in Kathak and Bharatnatyam. She holds the titles of Sangeet Ratna in Kathak and Sangeet Bhaskar in Bharatnatyam. Mukherjee began her dance journey at the age of seven in a small town in India, where she initially trained in Bharatnatyam under the tutelage of Ashok Nandi and Meena Nandi, who were disciples of the renowned Shri. Uday Shankar. Later, she pursued Kathak under Shri. Vipul Chandra Das. Currently, she is a disciple of Guru Smt. Moli Siddharth, a prime disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj and the Founder-Director of "Kalaangan" Academy in Mumbai, India. In 2019, Amrita Mukherjee founded "Rhythmic Vibe," a Kathak Dance Academy based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The academy offers both studio and online training for Kathak enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Rhythmic Vibe conducts exams and provides certification from a recognized university in India. Under her guidance, Amrita Mukherjee and her students have performed at various cultural events and festivals across Canada, including Panorama and Carrassauga, and in India. The academy also hosts an annual recital, such as "ARPAN 2026" at The Burlington Performing Arts Centre, showcasing the talent and artistry of its students.
