Amrita Ajai Thirumalai is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and Carnatic vocalist, recognized as a senior student of the Natyamani School of Dance in Boston, USA. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training under the tutelage of her mother, Guru Sridevi Thirumalai, the Artistic Director of the Natyamani School of Dance. Amrita performed her Bharatanatyam arangetram in 2014 at the age of 11 in Bangalore, India, and subsequently in Boston, USA. She has since presented numerous solo and group performances in both India and the United States, including for charitable organizations like Akshaya Patra. Her performances have been featured on Shankara TV. In addition to dance, Amrita is a Carnatic musician, having trained under Guru Tara Anand of the Anubhava School of Music. She completed her Carnatic vocal arangetram on August 26, 2017, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Amrita has garnered accolades in various competitions, including those held by Cleveland Aradhana, New Jersey Natya Sangamam, and the Navika World conference.
