Anitra Das is an Indian classical dancer specializing in the Kuchipudi style. She received her initial Kuchipudi training from Divya Yeluri in New Jersey. Furthering her artistic development, Das also studied under the tutelage of the late legendary Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam at the Kuchipudi Art Center in India during the summers of 1995 and 1996. She was notably among the first students of Divya Yeluri when Yeluri commenced teaching Kuchipudi in the United States in 1998. Anitra Das has showcased her talent in various performances, including a benefit concert for the Chinmaya Mission Tristate Center in Cranbury in 2013, where she presented "Satyabhama pravesham" in the Kuchipudi style. Beyond her dedication to dance, Anitra Das is also an accomplished academic and professional. She is a graduate of Yale University, holding a double major in English and political science, and earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School. Currently, she practices as an attorney at a private litigation law firm. While actively pursuing her legal career, she continues to engage with and contribute to the Indian classical dance community as a performer.
