Mrs. Anjali Jeyaram is a highly acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer and a professional Carnatic vocalist, deeply rooted in India’s classical arts. She is a Gold Medalist from the renowned Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, India, where she completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Her academic focus was Carnatic music (major) and Bharatanatyam (minor). Anjali was recognized as the Best Outgoing Student and All Rounder for both her UG and PG courses at Kalakshetra. She also served her alma mater as a part-time Music teacher for three years. With over 23 years of rigorous training and performance experience in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music, she also possesses expertise in other South Indian dance forms, including Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, and Kathakali. Anjali Jeyaram hails from a family of distinguished artists; she is the daughter of the renowned Kathakali artist Late Shri Kottakal Murali and the granddaughter of Late Shri Achutha Warrier, who served as the Principal of Sadanam Institute (Gandhi Seva Sadan). Her vocal talents gained international recognition when her song “Ayigiri Nandini” from an Indian-based Hollywood movie was shortlisted for nomination in the Best Original Song score category at the OSCARs in 2013. She is also an active playback singer in the Malayalam movie industry, with multiple movie and album credits. Anjali has performed extensively in both dance and music across various stages in India, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and specializes in singing for live dance performances. She has collaborated with established artists like Unni Menon and Biju Narayanan in prestigious shows and is frequently invited to judge dance and music competitions.
