Anjana S. Mohanan is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, trained in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi. Born to Kathakali actor Fact Mohanan and classical dancer Smt. Kalamandalam Sreedevi Mohanan, she began her Bharatanatyam training under her mother at the age of four. Her arangetram, or first Bharatanatyam performance, took place in 1996 at the Sree Parthasaradhy temple in Aranmula. Anjana S. Mohanan holds a first rank in both her B.A. and M.A. in Bharatanatyam from M.G. University and R.L.V. College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, respectively. She is recognized as a graded artist for both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam by Doordarshan Kendra, Trivandrum. Her career includes extensive performances across India, participating in major festivals in Kerala and other cities like Kolkata, Asansol, Kharagpur, and Pune. She has also explored innovative choreographic works, including a Mohiniyattam rendition of a "Bible" story titled "SEMIRANGANA" and a multi-art form production "Sopanam" which integrated Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, and Kalaripayattu for the Kumbalgarh festival in Rajasthan in 2008. Anjana S. Mohanan has also collaborated on projects like "Peeyush" with her mother and Guru Siddhartha Roy Chowdhury. She is an active participant in dance camps and workshops and has presented seminars.
