Anuradha Chaturvedi is a critically acclaimed Kathak exponent, dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in South East England, primarily operating from Reading, with additional centers in Oxford and Didcot. Her profound journey in Kathak began with extensive training under the late Pundit Arjun Mishra in Lucknow, India, where she dedicated 15 years to mastering the art form. Complementing her practical expertise, she holds a Sangeet Praveen from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad, India, and an ISTD’s level 6 Diploma in Dance Pedagogy, underscoring her commitment to both performance and education. As a performing artist for nearly two decades, Anuradha Chaturvedi has graced numerous festivals and venues across India and the UK. Her notable performances include "Presence," a unique cross-cultural collaboration with ballet dancer Ségolène Tarte in November 2013, and "Antaraal," presented with Drishti Dance at Resolution! in 2016. In 2008, Chaturvedi co-founded Drishti Dance Foundation, an organization specializing in traditional Kathak, where she serves as the Artistic Director. The foundation expanded its reach by taking in its first youth students in Reading in 2012, and has since grown to establish dance centers in other locations. Under her leadership, Drishti Dance's youth wing achieved national recognition, representing the South East region in National UDance for two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019. Beyond her work with Drishti Dance, she is also a Principal Artist for Yuva Gati, the South Asian Dance strand of the Centre of Advance Training (CAT), based out of DanceXhange, Birmingham. Her contributions to the art form have been recognized with the Sringaarmani award from Sur Sringaar Samsad, Mumbai, India. Awards & Honours: Sringaarmani.
