Anuradha Jagannathan is an acclaimed Indian classical dancer, primarily known for her Bharatanatyam performances. She has garnered critical acclaim for her numerous recitals both in India and internationally. In India, she has graced prestigious stages such as Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, the Music Academy of Madras, and the Shanmukhananda Sabha of Bombay. A notable highlight of her career includes a performance at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, in New Delhi in August 1989. Her international presence is significant, with performances across the United States, France, England, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Nigeria. She also undertook a tour of Afghanistan on behalf of the Government of India in August 1989. Anuradha Jagannathan is a distinguished disciple of the legendary Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan, from whom she received extensive training in abhinaya, the expressive aspect of Indian classical dance. Her teaching legacy is evident through her students, such as Sridaya Srivatsan, who refers to her as "Guru Smt. Anuradha Jagannathan" and highlights her meticulous approach to Bharatanatyam, including the intricate details of costume and jewelry.
