Anuradha Ramachandra is an Indian classical dancer and educator specializing in Bharatanatyam, based in Austin, Texas, United States. She is the founder and director of Austin Dance India, an organization dedicated to the teaching and performance of traditional Bharatanatyam. Ramachandra's unique cultural perspective stems from her upbringing in Canada, her classical dance training in India, and her current residence and work in the United States. She is a disciple of Pandit Venugopal and Jayashree Pillai of Mumbai, and has also received training from the esteemed scholar and master, Acharya Parvati Kumar. Anuradha Ramachandra has been actively involved in teaching youth for over 25 years, sharing her knowledge and passion for Bharatanatyam through her organization, public schools, libraries, and other facilities. She is recognized as an artist with the Texas Commission on the Arts.
