Anuradha Sridhar is an internationally acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer, renowned for her performances as part of a duo with her husband, Dr. Shridhar. Born and based in Bengaluru, India, Anuradha received her initial Bharatanatyam training from Guru Smt. Radha Sridhar. She further honed her skills in the Kalakshetra style under the guidance of Guru Sri M.R. Krishnamurthy and later, the esteemed danseuse and Guru Nritya Chudamani Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan of Kalakshetra. Anuradha graduated with distinction from Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts, Chennai, in 1993. After marrying Dr. Shridhar in 1991, the couple began performing together, captivating audiences worldwide with their "stunning coordination, impeccable nritta, and deeply moving abhinayam". They are celebrated for their remarkably creative choreography, which often features deep spiritual overtones and extensive research, exploring themes from epics and literary works. Their dance features include productions like "Ramayana," "Mahabharatam," "Mahaveera Karna," and "The Upanishad." In 1994, Anuradha and Dr. Shridhar co-founded the Khechara Academy of Bharatanatyam in Bengaluru, dedicating their lives to the preservation and propagation of Bharatanatyam and India's rich cultural heritage. The academy provides specialized training in traditional dance techniques. They have performed in prestigious venues across India, including the Madras Music Academy and Sangith Natak Academy, as well as internationally in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Singapore, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and the Gulf countries.
