Dr. Anuradha Vikranth is a renowned Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam danseuse, performer, choreographer, pedagogue, and researcher based in Bengaluru, India. Her initial Bharatanatyam training was under Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra and later Guru Smt. Narmada. She is also a direct disciple of Padma Vibhushan Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, from whom she received intensive training in Karanas and the principles of Natyashastra. Academically, Anuradha Vikranth holds a commerce degree from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam from SASTRA University, Thanjavur, and a Ph.D. from SASTRA University for her research titled “Aesthetics of Choreography – from the works of Dr Padma Subrahmanyam with reference to the Chaturvidha Abhinaya.” In 2001, she founded the Drishti Art Centre in Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru, an institution dedicated to imparting structured and holistic training in Bharatanatyam. The Drishti Art Centre, which has trained over 1,000 students and currently trains over 400, was awarded the National Education Excellence Award 2019 as the Best Classical Dance Training Institute. It offers certificate and diploma courses in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence and the Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University. Anuradha Vikranth is also the founder and managing trustee of Drishti Art Foundation, which organizes the annual Drishti National Dance Festival since 2006. An 'A' graded artist of Doordarshan, she has performed extensively at major cultural centers in India, USA, Canada, UK, and UAE. She is known for her creativity, versatility, and grace, blending tradition with innovation. Notably, she is one of the few Bharatanatyam dancers to adopt 'Chitra Nritya,' a technique where she draws pictures with her feet during a performance, as seen in her presentation “Mayura Sandesha.” She has also served as the Secretary of the World Dance Alliance–Karnataka Chapter and as a member of the Academic Council of the Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.
