Anursha Tharmarajah is an alumnus of the prestigious Kalakshetra School in Chennai, India, where she learned Bharathanatyam from Rukmani Devi Arundel. She graduated with a First Class Diploma in Bharathanatyam, Veena, Classical Vocal Singing, and established Natyakshetra Dance School in 1975.
