🪔 About

Aparajita Dawka Buragohain is an Indian classical dancer and teacher specializing in Sattriya, one of India's eight classical dance forms originating from Assam. She received her training from Guru Ghanakanta Bora under a project support scheme for Sattriya dance. Dawka Buragohain has been recognized for her performances, demonstrating maturity in both nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expressive dance). In November 2012, she performed a solo at the 12th Nritya Parva Festival in Guwahati, where she presented a Sanskrit shloka "Shantakara bhujagashayanam," depicting Krishna's "meghavaranam shubhangam" and an episode from Rukmini Harana, showcasing the playfulness of Rukmini and her sakhis. She is listed as a performer and teacher based in India.
