Avenav Mukherjee, also known as Avinav Mukharji, is a multi-faceted Indian classical artist specializing in Kathak dance. He received extensive training for 14 years under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Geetanjali Lal. Mukherjee has served as the former head of Kathak faculty at Apsaras Arts in Singapore and was a repertory artist of Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. He is recognized as a graded Doordarshan artist and has represented India as an arts ambassador on various international platforms. Beyond his performances, Mukherjee is also a choreographer and actor, having been involved in numerous plays, TV shows, and short films. He is noted for being the first and only young male Kathak dancer from India invited to give motivational talks at TEDx events. Committed to social causes, he has collaborated with NGOs such as Samuel Foundation, Tapaswini Navasadhana, and Spic Macay, conducting workshops and lecture demonstrations for underprivileged children.
