Natyacharya Sri Bhagavathula Srinivasa Sarma is a distinguished figure in the Kuchipudi Indian classical dance tradition, hailing from the renowned Bhagavathula family of Kuchipudi exponents. He is the son of Guru Sri Bhagavathula Yagnanarayana Sarma, who was honored with the THAGUR RATNA PURASKAR for his contributions to Kuchipudi dance, and Smt Lakshmi Tulasi Brindavana, daughter of the legendary Kuchipudi artist Sri Mahankali SatyaNarayana Sarma. Srinivasa Sarma received his foundational training in Kuchipudi dance under the tutelage of the eminent Guru Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. He also received training from Balakka. His academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Public Administration, Diplomas in Mridangam and Kuchipudi, and a Certificate in Bharata Natyam. He is also proficient in Type and Shorthand at higher levels in Telugu and English. Professionally, he was appointed in a cultural quota at S.C. Railway in Vijayawada. Throughout his career, Bhagavathula Srinivasa Sarma has demonstrated his versatility as an artist, teacher, and choreographer. He has choreographed numerous dance ballets and is known for performing all three traditional forms of Kuchipudi: Solos, Yakshaganas, and Nrutya Natikas. A notable performance includes his participation in Guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam's dance ballet 'KSHEERA SAGARA MADHANAM,' conducted by SIDDHHENDRA KALAKSHETRAM in 1984. He founded the Sri Sai Ram Nrutya Art Acadamy, dedicated to promoting and preserving the Kuchipudi dance form.
