Bhavana Reddy is an acclaimed Indian classical Kuchipudi dancer, singer, songwriter, and guru. Born and raised in New Delhi, India, she is the younger daughter and disciple of the renowned dancing couple Padma Bhushans Drs. Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Her formal training in Kuchipudi began at the age of four under her parents' tutelage. She also received training in South Indian Classical Carnatic vocals from Guru Kannakumar, Durga Prasad, and Shri K. Vageesh, and earned a certificate in Natya Sastra Karana studies under Guru Padma Subrahmanyam. Reddy holds a B Com Honors Degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and an Associate of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. Reddy commenced her performing career at age five, touring globally with her family. She was recognized as the youngest performer in the history of the Bhaskar Rao Sangeet Sammelan at age seven and has taken lead roles in significant Kuchipudi productions such as Prahlada Charitram, Bhamakalapam, and Bhagvadajjukyam. Her extensive international performance career includes tours across Europe, USA, Canada, South East Asia, and the Middle East, performing for dignitaries and at prestigious venues worldwide. She serves as a principal soloist and assistant choreographer to Dr. Raja Radha Reddy and is an empaneled artiste for the Indian Diplomacy Council ICCR and National TV Broadcasting Doordarshan. Beyond dance, Reddy is also a musician, having released a solo EP "Tangled in Emotions" and sung the title track for the Hollywood film "Joy Ride 3: Roadkill," performing at the Grammy Awards After Party. As a dedicated educator, Bhavana Reddy founded the International Center for Kuchipudi Dance (ICKD) in March 2020, an online institution aimed at globalizing Kuchipudi and nurturing students worldwide. She also serves as a Director and Faculty member at Natya Tarangini, the Kuchipudi institute founded by her parents, where she has taught for over a decade. Reddy's teaching philosophy emphasizes the traditional guru-shishya parampara, attracting disciples from various countries including the USA, Europe, UAE, Australia, India, UK, Dubai, Singapore, and the Bahamas. She currently operates from her studio in Los Angeles, USA, continuing her mission to spread the ancient art form globally.
