Bhavana Reddy is an acclaimed Indian classical Kuchipudi dancer, singer, songwriter, and guru. Born and raised in New Delhi, India, she is the younger daughter and disciple of the renowned Kuchipudi dancing couple, Padma Bhushans Drs. Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Her formal training in Kuchipudi began at the age of four under her parents, and she started performing globally with her family at age five. The Reddy family is recognized in the Limca Book of Records as the world's first and only family dedicated to Kuchipudi. Bhavana Reddy graduated with a B.Com Honors Degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in New Delhi. She also pursued her passion for music, graduating from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, with an Associate of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance, where she received the Outstanding Artist Award in the program of Independent Artistry. She has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including the Kennedy Center, Sadler's Wells, Khajuraho Dance Festival, and Konark Festival. Notable roles include Prahlada at age seven, Shandilya in "Bhagvadajjukyam" (2016), and the lead role of Satyabhama in "Bhamakalapam" (2011). She is also the principal soloist and assistant choreographer to Dr. Raja Radha Reddy. As an educator, Bhavana Reddy founded the International Center for Kuchipudi Dance (ICKD) in 2020, an online institution with students across the USA, Europe, UAE, Australia, India, UK, Malaysia, Canada, and Germany. She also serves as a Director at Natya Tarangini, the Kuchipudi institute founded by her parents in New Delhi, and founded its international branch in April 2020. Her teaching emphasizes the guru-shishya parampara tradition, nurturing students both online and in-person. She is an empaneled artiste for the Indian Diplomacy Council ICCR and National TV Broadcasting Doordarshan, promoting Kuchipudi globally.
