Biljana Vozarević, a Bharatanatyam practitioner from Serbia, embarked on her journey in Indian classical dance at the age of 46. She is a global member of the Himalayan School of Traditional Dance (HSTD) and has received training in Bharatanatyam from Radha Subramanian, the Artistic Director of HSTD. Vozarević is credited with helping to bring the Bharatanatyam art form to Serbia and the Balkans. In 2021, she played a key role in organizing a week-long foundation course in Bharatanatyam in Novi Sad, Serbia, as a representative of Mohanji Serbia. Her performances include dancing in front of spiritual leader Mohanji on three occasions through HSTD, where she performed pieces such as Guru Brahma sloka, Samastha Loka, and various Adavus. More recently, in April 2024, she performed at the Festival of Colours, Rangotsav, hosted by the University of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vozarević is also an author, having penned an article titled "The Healing Power of Bhāratanāṭyam," published in August 2023, where she shares her insights into the physical, psychological, and emotional benefits of the dance form.
