Debolina Dutta is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, teacher, performer, and choreographer specializing in Odissi. Hailing from Kolkata, India, she began her dance journey at the tender age of four. She received her professional training under the tutelage of esteemed gurus including Guru Dona Ganguly, Guru Poushali Mukherjee, and Guru Rajib Bhattacharya, all based in Kolkata. With over two decades of experience in dance, Debolina Dutta is recognized for her dedication to the art form. Beyond her performances, Debolina Dutta is a dedicated educator. She commenced her formal teaching and choreography career in 2019, holding positions as an Odissi Instructor at institutions like Sriram Studio and Indrani Dutta Kala Niketan, and as a choreographer for Don Bosco School Kolkata and Food Corporation Kolkata. She is the director of the Prativa Dance Institute, an Odissi dance center in Behala, Kolkata, which offers classes from beginner to advanced levels. Her teaching methodology emphasizes body conditioning, basic postures, steps, and theoretical knowledge of Odissi, and she also imparts training in semiclassical dance and Rabindra Nritya. Debolina Dutta is an Empanelled Doordarshan Odissi Dancer and a Graded Artiste in the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), reflecting her significant contributions to Indian classical dance.
