Divya Dadi Yeluri is an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, guru, and choreographer, known for her dedication to popularizing the traditional Indian classical dance form. She is a choice disciple of the legendary Kuchipudi maestro Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. Divya Yeluri also received training in Bharatanatyam for approximately eight years, from the age of five to thirteen, under a teacher named Padma, who was a student of Ramaya Pillai. Her Kuchipudi education extended to three major institutes: Kuchipudi Art Academy Chennai, Kuchipudikala Chitra Vishakapatnam, and the Potti Sreeramulu University in Kuchipudi village. Divya Yeluri began teaching Kuchipudi in the USA in 1998. In February 2003, she founded the Nritya Madhavi School of Kuchipudi Dance in Edison, New Jersey. The school quickly gained recognition for its exemplary standards in presenting the Kuchipudi style. As a choreographer, Divya Yeluri has created and performed numerous dance dramas based on Hindu epics, including "Sri Krishna Parijatham" and "Ramayanam". She has also performed rare temple rituals such as Simha Nandini, Mahalakshmi, and Mayura Katwa, where the dancer rhythmically creates drawings with their feet. Her students have showcased their skills at various events, including the 2015 South Asian Youth Symposium at the White House. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Divya Yeluri holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management in India and a Master's in Computer Science from the City University of New York.
