Divya Kasturi is a distinguished Bharatanatyam artist, cultural trailblazer, and educator whose career spans continents and disciplines, blending traditional Indian classical dance with contemporary expression and cutting-edge technology. Her artistic roots are deeply embedded in Bharatanatyam, having received training from the revered Smt. & Sri Aravindan (Kalakshetra) and Karnataka Kalashree Guru Udupi Sri Laxminarayana. Expanding her classical foundation, she also trained in Kathak under masters such as Smt. Jigyasa Giri, Smt. Gauri Sharma Tripathi, Smt. Kumudini Lakhia, and Smt. Aditi Mangaldas. Additionally, Kasturi is a concert-level Carnatic vocalist, trained by maestros including Prof. Dr. T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Smt. Janaky Ramanujan, and Chitravina Ganesh. Kasturi's performances have graced global stages, and she has collaborated with iconic artists like Maestro Ilayaraja, Sir Paul McCartney, and Simon McBurney. She is recognized for pioneering the integration of 3D hologram technology and Virtual Reality with Bharatanatyam. As a passionate educator and mentor, she founded the Divya Kasturi Company (DKC) and DKC Young Talents, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Indian classical artists in Hertfordshire, UK. In India, she established the SRINIDI Cultural Trust in 2005, which curates an annual arts festival in Chennai to promote Indian Classical Arts. She also serves as a visiting faculty and choreographer at prestigious institutions such as London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS/The Place) and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her choreographic work extends to the National Youth Music Theatre (UK) and the award-winning British theatre company Complicité.
