Dr. Divya Nedungadi is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Mohiniyattam, born on August 6, 1988. She began her training in classical dance at the age of four under the tutelage of Smt. Vinitha Nedungadi, a renowned exponent of Mohiniyattam. Divya Nedungadi is a Graded Artiste of Doordarshan, India's national public broadcaster, and has performed extensively across various television channels and venues in South India. Her international performances include a tour in the Maldives with her guru in 2007. Academically, Dr. Nedungadi holds a distinguished record. She secured the First Rank in her BA (Sanskrit Sahitya) from Calicut University (2006-2009 batch) and also achieved the First Rank in her MA Dance, with Mohiniyattam as her major subject, from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady (2009-2011 batch). She further pursued and was awarded a PhD in Mohiniyattam from the prestigious Visva-bharati, Santiniketan. Dr. Nedungadi is also qualified for lectureship, having cleared the University Grants Commission's National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET). Her career extends to academia, where she has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. Her research interests include dance education at the university level, critical dance pedagogy, indigenous culture, and training methodologies of Kerala's performing arts tradition. She is also an ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) empanelled artist.
