Dr. Kanan Shah is the founder and director of NIPA-Nartan Institute of Performing Arts in Sydney, Australia. By profession, she holds a doctorate in pharmacy and has a background as a researcher and academician. Dr. Shah is formally trained in Bharatanatyam and has been actively teaching this classical dance form, alongside Bollywood and Indian Folk Dances, in Sydney for approximately 11 years, having previously taught in India.
