Dr. Maha Gingrich is an internationally acclaimed exponent of Indian classical dance, specializing in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, alongside traditional folk dances of India. She is recognized as a dancer, choreographer, TV anchor, educator, and community leader. Dr. Gingrich founded 'Dances of India,' a production that has celebrated over 20 years of full-house performances, showcasing ancient Indian dances in their purest form. She has been teaching classical Indian dances in Charlotte and the Carolinas since 1987, with more than 85 students having graduated from her academy. Dr. Gingrich holds academic degrees including a Bachelor's in Business Administration, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership. She has also hosted the TV show “Charlotte, a City of International Success,” and co-hosted the Indian TV Show “Nazar.” Awards & Honours: Global Leader Award (2016), Women of Distinction Award for Significant Achievement in Community Building/Social Capital (2014), Distinguished Rotarian award, 50 Most Influential Women award, ATHENA Award Nominee (2011).
