Dr. Radha Krishnan is a distinguished figure in Indian classical dance, specifically Bharatanatyam, known for her elegant and expressive performances as well as her precise pure abstract dance. She received her training in the Kalakshetra bani 'style' of Bharatanatyam in India. As a passionate performer of this traditional dance form, Dr. Krishnan has garnered critical acclaim for her numerous solo and group works, performing regularly across the United Kingdom. Her extensive performance career has taken her to three continents, with notable appearances in Seychelles, Singapore, India, and the UK. Beyond her performing career, Dr. Radha Krishnan is a dedicated educator and the Founder and Artistic Director of Thandavam School of Dance and Music. Based in the UK, Thandavam is a cultural and educational organization committed to promoting and propagating Indian classical performing arts and culture. The school's educational wing, Thandavam School of Music and Dance, provides training to approximately 80 local students of Indian immigrant families, with many graduates forming a strong audience base for concerts and outreach events. Her students have performed Bharatanatyam at various events, including the TAS Ugadi festival in Edinburgh, UK.
