Dr. Shalini Harikumar is a distinguished Indian classical dancer and academician, renowned for her expertise in Mohiniyattam, the graceful classical dance form of Kerala. She holds a significant academic position as the Head of the Mohiniyattam Department at the prestigious RLV College of Music and Fine Arts. Her performances are characterized by exquisite grace, striking postures, and a captivating stage persona, which have consistently won over audiences. Dr. Harikumar has been a prominent figure in various dance festivals and events. In January 2019, she presented a notable Mohiniyattam performance at Changampuzha Park in Kochi. More recently, she performed Mohiniyattam at Samabhavana 2024, part of the RLV Fest. Her commitment to the art form is further highlighted by her scheduled performance at the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi's National Dance Festival – Tribhangi 2025, set to take place in Angamaly in September 2025. Dr. Shalini Harikumar's artistic journey has been shaped by the guidance of her esteemed guru, Kalamandalam Husnabhanu. Beyond performing and teaching, she has also contributed to the repertoire of Mohiniyattam as a choreographer, notably composing the 'Navagraha Hasthas in Mohiniyattam'.
