Emi Mayuri is a renowned Japanese Bharatanatyam dancer, born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan [6, 7]. She is a dedicated disciple of Guru Udupi Laxminarayan and holds a unique distinction as the only practitioner in Japan to have received a license (Menkyo Kaiden) in the Kanchipuram style of South Indian classical dance Bharatanatyam [6]. Mayuri's career as a dancer spans over two decades, with her dance activities having reached 29 years as of a documented statement on her website [6]. She actively performs in India, Japan, and Cambodia, showcasing her mastery of the art form [6].
