Gayatri Bhupati is an Odissi dancer and teacher based in Chennai, India. She is a senior disciple of Guru Smt. Sonali Mohapatra, having trained in the Odissi classical dance form for 25 years. Bhupati is active as both a performer and an Odissi dance trainer, also incorporating fitness training into her work. She has accumulated 15 years of teaching experience, with 5 years dedicated to online instruction. In Chennai, she has served as a guest teacher at an institute, imparting Odissi dance and fitness education to children and women. Gayatri Bhupati is the founder of Nrutya Vrikshya Dance Academy, an Odissi institute located in Chennai. She has also taken the initiative to organize significant dance events, including the first Annual Odissi Dance Program “Madhurjyam” festival in Chennai on September 3rd, 2023, and the 2nd Annual Day celebration of her Nrutya Vrikshya Dance Academy on September 1st, 2024. Her performance history includes an appearance at Odissi International in 2013.
