🪔 About

Harpal Bamrah commenced his formal training in Bharatanatyam in 1996 at the age of seven. His initial tutelage was under the guidance of Smt. Pushkala Gopal and Sri Unnikrishnan. After years of dedicated practice, he successfully completed his Arangetram in 2005, a significant milestone in a Bharatanatyam dancer's journey, performing alongside his sister, Gurkiran. Throughout his career, Bamrah has been an active performer, participating in various dance productions and events. His early performances include Mudralaya's 'Bharta Yatra' in 1998, 'An Evening of Dance' at Queens Theatre in 2004, and 'The Return of Spring' Dance Drama in 2006. He has also graced the stage at notable public events, such as the Queen's Golden Jubilee Parade in 2002 and the British Asian Achievement Awards in 2006. Internationally, Bamrah has performed on numerous occasions in Prague, representing the Indian High Commission. Beyond his artistic pursuits, Harpal Bamrah is also a qualified dentist by profession. He shares his knowledge and passion for Bharatanatyam as a teacher at SanskritiUK, an institution dedicated to Indian dance and music. He conducts classes at their Manor Park and Ilford locations, contributing to the propagation of this classical art form in East London, UK.
