🪔 About

Harshitha Venkatesh is an Indian classical dancer, primarily known for her Bharatanatyam performances, though she also has a foundation in Kuchipudi. She is the daughter and disciple of Smt. Bhuvana Venkatesh, the Artistic Director of Nrithyanivedhan School of Dance. Harshitha's dancing journey began around 2003. She is described as a vibrant, young, and gracious performer. Harshitha Venkatesh presented a three-hour solo Bharatanatyam margam titled "Maadhurya Shauryam" on March 26, 2016, in Sunnyvale, California. This performance was a benefit event for Maitri.org, a non-profit organization supporting South Asian survivors of domestic violence. Her performances have been noted for her crisp upper body movements, perfect Shakti poses, and attractive nritta sequences. She has performed at various events, including "Nrithya Dhaarana" on May 18, 2024, and was scheduled to perform for the Yuvabharathi Chamber concert "Prathiba" on July 19, 2025. Harshitha also teaches, with her disciples performing at events such as "Nrithyambujam" on May 17, 2025. Her father, Venkatesh Rajagopalan, has contributed to her performances by singing background songs.
