Jigna Dixit is a dynamic and accomplished Kathak dancer, teacher, and cultural officer, known for her sparkling and energetic performances. She received her early training in Kathak from Guru Dharamshibhai Shah in Bhavnagar, India. Her dance further blossomed under the tutelage of renowned Kathak dancers Maulik Shah and Ishira Parikh at the Anart Foundation in Ahmedabad. Dixit holds a Nritya Visharad from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai and has earned Master's degrees in both Kathak dance and English literature. She also completed a Master's degree in Performing Arts – Dance, from Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Throughout her career, Jigna Dixit has performed extensively across India and internationally. Her performances are characterized by clear, swift movements, graceful turns, and expressive abhinaya, showcasing her strong grip on taal, laya, and pirouettes. She has been a principal dancer and faculty member at the Anart Foundation and served as a dance lecturer for a bachelor's degree course at JG School of Performing Arts. Currently, she serves as a Kathak dance teacher, performer, and cultural officer at the Embassy of India in Warsaw, Poland, where she actively promotes Indian culture. Dixit is also an empanelled artist by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India. She founded and leads the Kalatman School of Dance & Music in Ahmedabad.
