Kalamandalam Krishna is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and educator specializing in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam. She commenced her dance studies at the age of four under the tutelage of her mother, Mrs. Kalamandiram Shobha Krishnankutty. Krishna received eight years of rigorous Gurukula training at Kerala Kalamandalam, earning the prestigious 'Kalamandalam' title at the age of twelve. Her academic pursuits include a Bachelor's degree from Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University for Arts and Culture, specializing in Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi, a Post Graduation in Performing Arts (Kuchipudi) from Hyderabad Central University, and an M.Phil in Kuchipudi from the University of Madras. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University. Throughout her career, Kalamandalam Krishna has trained under esteemed gurus such as Dr. Anuradha Jonnala Gadda, Kalaimamani Shailaja, and Vempati Ravi Shanker, with partial training in Contemporary dance under Girish Chandra. She has performed at significant national and international venues, including the opening ceremony of the Hannover Messe 2015 in Germany, attended by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Krishna is also a recipient of a Guinness Record in 2006 for her participation in a Mohiniyattam convention. She has choreographed several productions, including 'NJANAPANA', 'Sri Sankaracharya's Soundaryalahari' in Kuchipudi, 'Sree Narayaneeyam', 'Ramayanam', 'Varnams', 'Padams', and 'Thillana'. As an educator, Kalamandalam Krishna has served as a teacher at Saraswathy Vidhyanikethan Central School and Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University, and as a Performing Artist at Global Indian International School UAE. She is the Director of the Natya Dance Training Institute in Abu Dhabi, which has branches in Shabia Sector 12, Mussafah, and Abu Dhabi City.
