Kalamandalam Nikhila is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Mohiniyattam. She began her dance training at the age of six and, by thirteen, had joined the esteemed Kerala Kalamandalam, a renowned institution for performing arts. Nikhila is currently pursuing an MPhil integrated PhD in the field of Performing Arts. Based in Palakkad, India, she is recognized as a dedicated performer and choreographer. Throughout her career, Nikhila has graced the stages of several prestigious festivals, including the acclaimed Soorya Festival. Her Mohiniyattam performance at Yuva KalaParva 2014 in Bangalore captivated audiences. She is also a prolific choreographer, with numerous original works to her credit. Her choreographies include a varnam based on Vayalar Ramavarma's poem "RAVANAPUTHRI," where Ravana is the central character, as well as the group choreography "KRISHNALEELA" and "GAJENDRAMOKSHAM," inspired by a poem by Sugathakumari. Additionally, she has choreographed various Ashtapadis, Padama, and Bhajans. Her choreographed and performed pieces also include "Damayanthi" (2016), "Girirajasutathanaya" (2023), "Jambupathe" (2024), "Vasanthi Thillana" (2024), and "Meera Padunnu".
