Kalashree Debasmita Thakur is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer and a senior disciple of the legendary Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan. She holds a diploma in dance and a Masters in Public Administration. Throughout her career, Debasmita Thakur has performed extensively both in India and internationally, often alongside her guru. She played a leading role in "Swachh Bharat," one of Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan's unique productions. Debasmita Thakur has actively assisted her guru in conducting numerous workshops across India and abroad, including demonstration programs in Shikhohabad, UP, with Dakshina Vaidyanathan, and workshops at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Jaipur. She has also led summer workshops with NDMC for several years. Currently, she serves as a faculty member and instructor for Bharatanatyam at Routes 2 Roots and Virsa India, where she guides students of various levels in the intricate movements and cultural heritage of this classical dance form.
