Ketaki Ghanekar is an Indian classical dancer and guru specializing in Bharatanatyam. She received her training under the guidance of Guru Mrs. Vidya Subramaniam (Patel). Ghanekar holds a master's degree in Indian Classical Dance from the Arts Society of Mumbai, in addition to bachelor's and master's degrees in commerce from the University of Mumbai. With over 15 years of experience, she teaches the Tanjavore and Kalakshetra styles of Bharatanatyam. In 2012, Ketaki Ghanekar founded the Nrityam School of Dance in Overland Park, Kansas, USA, where she serves as the lead instructor. The school is dedicated to providing Bharatanatyam education to students of all ages, with a curriculum that focuses on technique, rhythm, expression, and the cultural significance of the dance form. Her teaching philosophy extends beyond physical training, aiming to instill values such as respect, gratitude, confidence, and grace in her students, and fostering an appreciation for life's blessings and cultural heritage through Bharatanatyam. The Nrityam School of Dance has been recognized as a significant institution for traditional Indian classical dance in the Kansas City community.
