Birju Maharaj and Pt. Asha Joglekar for Kathak, Saroj Khan for Bollywood dance, and Indumati Lele ji for folk dance forms. She has undergone 15 years of Kathak training. Renowned as a choreographer and Kathak trainer for numerous Bollywood stars, she has also performed on television reality shows like Dance Deewane. Soni founded Jili's Dance Academy, a professional institute for learning Kathak.
