Madhavi Chandran is a distinguished Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. She began her dance training at the tender age of four. Madhavi Chandran received tutelage from renowned gurus including the Dhananjayans, Vempati Chinna Satyam, Kalamandalam Narayanankutty (Kathakali), and Kalamandalam Geethanandan (Ottam Thullal). She holds a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University. Madhavi Chandran is recognized as a Doordarshan A-graded artiste in both Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam. She is a significant figure at the Regatta Natya Sangeetha Kendra, founded by her mother, Guru Girija Chandran, where she serves as a talented dancer, choreographer, and also performs nattuvangam. Her contributions to classical dance have been acknowledged with prestigious awards, including the National Balsree Award in 2005 and the Best Bharatanatyam Dancer award from the Music Academy, Chennai, in 2010.
