Madhavi Mehta is a dedicated Bharatanatyam teacher and the founder of the Taal Institute of Performing Arts. She began her dance training at a very young age under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Meha Thakore at Swarmudra Dance studio in Ahmedabad, where she trained for ten years. Mehta furthered her artistic journey by becoming an assistant teacher to her guru, sharing her knowledge and passion for the art form. She continues to enhance her skills by learning from Mr. Naidu in Mumbai. Beyond Bharatanatyam, Madhavi Mehta has also received training in Flamenco dancing in Seville, Spain. Mehta established the Taal Institute of Performing Arts with the vision of fostering interest and passion for classical dance in children. The institute, primarily based out of South Brunswick, New Jersey, offers a diverse range of dance forms, including Bharatanatyam, Indo-American fusion, and Latin styles, catering to students from 5 to 55 years of age. She has also served as a judge in various dance competitions, such as Dance pe chance, Nach Mayuri, and Sri Venkateshwar temple dance and Music competitions.
